I added two files of which I'm trying to make an assembly from. The little ring should fit into the tunnel of the bigger ring. I am unable to do it from some reason with all my mates options. Any help? Files attached
I think you can do this by mating planes and then circular pattern for the quantity required.
1) In bracelet, create a plane from its right plane that's offset the bracelet radius. You'll use this to mate with in the assembly.
In the assembly:
2) Mate the bracelet front plane to the inring top plane. (This makes the inring face to the bracelet section)
3) Mate the plane from step 1 to inring's right plane. (This sets the inring to the left-right center of the bracelet section)
4) Mate the bracelet top plane to the inring front plane. (This makes sets the inring to the vertical center of the bracelet section)
I'm not in front of SW at the moment but I think this will work (or something along these lines).

HI Kevin, thanks for your time and offering to help. I downloaded your assembly but that's not what I had in mind. What I had in mind is this:
But I realized later that Solidworks won't fit it with any "mates" because the ring is too big to go into the tunnel in this configuration. I guess I thought Solidworks would mate them anyway. I had to come to the fundamental realization that Solidworks Assembly shows you what's wrong with your dimensions if something simply doesn't fit and faces collide.
I had to add more planes within the parts, but I think the attached is what you're looking for.
I threw in a circular pattern.
