Creating model out of 'stacked' 2D-outlines

I'm new to this forum, so my apologies in advance if my question is not asked in the right section.

I'm wondering if there is an easy way to create a part model by using 2D DXF-files, using them as a sketch in a part, giving them a certain thickness (e.g. 0.1 inch) and stacking all the layers above each other.

In short, it's actually the opposite of what the software '123D Make' from Autodesk would do.

I already thought about creating different planes with a fixed distance, copying the exact sketch on each plane, extruding it with a certain distance and repeating this process. The problem is that I have several hundred sketches..

Does anyone have an idea?

Thanks
