I want to change the color of a part in an animation I already created.
Thanks,
I want to change the color of a part in an animation I already created.
Thanks,
While the keys will work the same when filtered in order to color a specific face, within Composer you have to explode the geometry of the part first to color faces. I was able to test this in one of my animations and you should be OK to explode and color the face or faces you need. Since it saves the original part as a sort of assembly after explosion all keys originally in place stay. Since the new face technically has no keys as an individual you should be able to start at 0 and set the color of said face or faces and be good. If this doesn't work you can filter the keys of said face or faces and set those keys to the new color or colors.

Go to your starting 0 mark in your animation. Click on the part you changed the color of then activate the two filters shown in the screenshot below. The one will filter for that selected actor only and the one to the right of it will activate the property filter. Just click on the color in the properties box of the part. This will show you all the keys effecting the color. Unless your part changes color over the course of the animation there's a pretty good chance its only one key at the 0 mark that you need to update the color and you should be done. If there are more keys just correct the color of those as well
