Cannot Measure solidworks models in edrawings

This is probably more of a solidworks question, but I hope i can get the answer here.  At my workplace we have 8 seats of solidworks, and a few people who do not have solidworks and only use edrawings.  What I am running into is on 1 seat of solidworks, any file that is created from this seat you cannot measure it in edrawings......unless you have solidworks also.  Is there some setting in solidworks that would block the measuring option thru edrawings?  And I'm talking about standard solidworks files .sldprt, sldasm, slddrw, not edrawing files.  I've uploaded one of these files if you need it.  Again, I have solidworks and I can open and measure it with my edrawings, but when I go to another computer that does not have solidwroks, just edrawings, and try to measure it I get nothing.  I've tried this on a few computers just to make sure it wasn't the one computer.  thanks!!!
