So i made the fatal error of accidentally clicking on "Delete Project" instead of "Archive Project" in the VaultAdmin screen. Is there any way to recover the deleted folder?
Thank you in Advance
Not fully sure but I think yes you can retrieve that. Check Solution Id: S-029758 in SOLIDWORKS knowledge base.
Thank you for your reply Deepak. However, I don't seem to have access to the knowledge base. Could you please let me know what it says?
As per KB,
No. Once a file or folder has been made obsolete using the delete command in Workgroup PDM, it can not be restored. If the option to restore the file is desired, then the file or folder should be 'archived' versus 'deleted'.Deleted files are stored in the vault in a folder named 'obsolete' located in the project that the file was deleted from. Deleted projects and the files within the projects are stored in the vault project root in a folder named 'obsolete'.These files and folders cannot be restored and therefore can be deleted from the vault, especially if storage space is an issue. However the deleted file can still be accessed manually (as it still physically exist in the VaultData folder structure) - thus once located it can be copied out from the 'obsolete' folder and added back to the vault
So try accessing the files manually and see if you can retrieve them.
