Just check the top level in bom properties
I have tried that but it only shows the sub-assemblies in the main assembly. I also need to show the sub-assemblies in the sub-assemblies. Thanks...
Review SW help topics "Child Component Display Properties" along with BOM type in "Bill of Materials PropertyManager" for some examples on how to best address your issue.
In you BOM tool bar select the top-level only. This will only show the assemblies and individual parts that are in the assembly that you directly in. So if in you main assembly you have 4 sub-assemblies and 15 M8 screws it will only show in the BOM list the 4 sub-assemblies and 15 screws and not the parts inside each sub-assembly.
I think you're after is what I would have liked for many years and that is just the Assemblies, not just the top, but all the assembly files within the main assembly.
You can do an indented BOM which will give you all the subs but it will also give you all the parts under each sub.
Go to the lowest assembly level
go to the configuration tab of that asm
while hovering above the default config (or whatever config you need) do a RMB and select properties
this will give you this
take notice of the lower part, with show-hide-promote you'll be able to influence what you want to show in the BOM
You can of course do that on whatever level you need
Don't forget to mark the question as answered
Hope it helps
