I am receiving the following error and can't seem to trace down a solution? Any suggestions?
I had this problem today. I had to edit the edge flange feature that was providing the issue, remove the selected edge from the selection box, re-select it and rebuild. I still had the error message. I then edited the sheet-metal feature as the Solidworks help note suggested and hit ok. This worked for me. Hope that helps!
I've got the same problem. But I have 97 individual sheet metal bodies and its not giving any hint as to which one it is... any ideas on that?
I had a similar issue today. If you scroll to the bottom of your design tree in your sheet part you will see the suppressed flat-pattern folder. If you drop down that folder you will see all the named flat patterns. I identified the problematic flat pattern simply by scrolling and looking for duplicated names. The duplicates will be adjacent to each-other because the list is ordered alpha-numerically. Locating the duplicates is only half the battle, the other half is finding why it's duplicated. I assumed I could right click the flat pattern name and simply edit the name, but the name change propagated to the duplicate; no use. Ultimately, I found that my issue was the result of a mirrored part. For some reason my team has had several odd side-effects of using mirrored features so we try to avoid that and use circular patterns or other duplication tools instead. In my particular situation, changing the mirrored feature to a circular-patterned feature resolved the duplicate flat pattern name problem.
Circular-pattern. I'll have to keep that in mind. I use mirrored bodies all the time... and I guess it's probably unstable from the looks of this thread.
