This is current limitation of the software. I see that there is an enhancement request exist in our database. Contact SW technical support to escalate the issue.

I had the same problem. All I could find to do was disable the section clipping.
When probing a non-sectioned results plot SW only gives you results at nodes. Change the plot "boundary options" to "mesh", then probe along your mesh. With the standard "high quality" mesh no matter where you click it gives results at the element corners and at the mid-side locations. These are the node locations.
When using section clipping SW appears to be interpolating to find values between nodes. Results no longer reference specific mesh nodes.
You could split your model into multiple bodies through the desired sections. Use a bonded condition and a compatible mesh. Create an exploded view and run your study. Now view your results plot on the exploded model, and you will be able to probe anywhere.
