When will Solidworks Visualize be released to download?
When will Solidworks Visualize be released to download?
Wojciech - Visualize becomes available at SolidWorks World starting Feb. 1. Also, it is a standalone application you will install and license and is not built into SolidWorks directly.
Hi David, do you know if the SOLIDWORKS add in to push/ update your designs in Visualize be ready by then? (as per the demo video on youtube) Certainly would be a slicker process.
thanks
Alan
This video from the SOLIDWORKS 2016 launch showed the add in (at that time for Bunkspeed) at about 16 seconds, blink and you'll miss it,

Looking forward to finidng out more from SOLIDWORKS World, although unfortunately i'm not going this year.
Thanks
Alan
HI Alan - unfortunately due to last minute complications the plugin within SolidWorks won't be ready for the initial release. With that said, the CAD Live-Update system received a lot of attention and is probably a bigger timesaver than the plugin itself. The Live-Update system isn't shown in the video you have linked to but there will be more info coming on that in parallel to its release at SolidWorks World (Its a system that notifies you when changes are made to your SolidWorks file and saved, then allows you to update the edited geometry automatically). - Not too much longer now
So has Visualize officially launched? If so, how do we download both the standard and Pro versions? I am on maintenance for Bunkspeed Pro 2014, and also have a SW Premium sub....do I need anything special in the way of license? Or will it just work based on what I already have installed?
I believe the procedure might be different for transferring over your Bunkspeed license if it is on maintenance as you have bunkspeed pro. Your SOLIDWORKS Premium license will only entitle you to Visualize Standard see SOLIDWORKS Visualization | Visualize Matrix | SOLIDWORKS
. Probably best to check with your SOLIDWORKS re seller and who you purchased bunkspeed from if not the same.
Hi Aaron,
Deepak is correct in how to install your free seat of Visualize Standard. Click the link below and create a SOLIDWORKS ID, if you don't have one already. Then proceed to the Customer Portal and click the link Deepak showed above. After downloading and installing Visualize, use your SW CAD serial number (can be found within SW CAD by clicking Help > About > Show My Serial Number) to active Visualize Standard. This free Visualize Standard can be given to anyone within the company and does not occupy the original SW CAD license, so both can be used in parallel.
For your Bunkspeed transition to your SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional seat, we will notify you via email on instructions to download and also include your new serial number. These emails should be going out next week. Please note your IT Admin might receive this email.
Thanks!
Brian
