I'm using "split body" to put a bezel into a front panel. The image shows the result. It is as I want it except that one of the faces is split were the back of bezel hit the front surface. I'd like a way to avoid that.

I could first delete the front face of the bezel before I shell it outwards, but then the back of bezel doesn't reach the back of the front panel.

I tried doing a cut extrude to remove the front surface of the bezel about half the depth of the front panel. This worked, but like every other rebuild the cut will flop over to the wrong side, and I have to fix it.

What I really would like is to use "combine." I wish SW had a general combine feature, not "add" "subtract" or "common" but simply user control of what bodies stay and what bodies go. It would be easier to use and much more powerful - always a nice combination.

Anyway, I hope I'm missing something simple and someone here can show me toward a fix.

Thanks
