Hi everyone I got a project in university which I need to design and programing a new industrial product. My partner and I were thinking of making a telescopic glass(sleeve) which draped on a driller or an electric screwdriver and it purpose is to stable it vertically and angularly while working. In addition, prevent dirt and dust to be scattered around.
I have a few questions about it:
First which materials should I use that will handle the pressure and the heat outcome of the work? And won’t be expensive for producing from the financial issue. (we thought about a silicon rubber which hold the driller in the edges of the glass and stiff plastic for the body of the glass)
second do you this product is useful and needed in the self/home repairing work market?

Dan,
Welcome to the forum. I can see your project having some promise for occasions when a hole needs to be perpendicular to the work surface. I don't know that I'd bother with the seal to catch sawdust, because unless I'm overlooking something the sawdust would still escape when you removed the cap from the work surface. I'd think just a clear plastic for the body of the add-on.
I hope this helps,
Glenn
