I am having problems moving items on the design tree in SW 2006.

I can move one part below another by just dragging it, but only if the item I am moving under to is not an assembly. If it is an assembly, then SW wants to move it into that assembly. I am just trying to move the item to a different location in the design tree.

I am sure this is a basic thing, but I can't seem to find the correct terms to search for and get an answer.

How to I move one part to a different location in the design tree?
