Hello Everyone,
I'm looking for a fast way to print multiple file types in one place. I'm curious how other people hand this.
We are currently using the same drawings every time a product needs to be made, the problem with this is that we lose drawings and don't have solid rev control because of it. In the future we plan to have the documents needed to create the project printed fresh every time. Then long term this will lead us into going paperless. (that's the dream )
We have a project coordinator that will be searching for approved files and printing them. They will not have solidworks on their computer.
1. solidworks drawing = .slddrw
2. autocad files = .dwg
3. Excel document = .xlsm
I have a task that will print the solidworks files. But if I run it for the .dwg files, the dwg file is larger than the sheet format and only prints the bottom corner.I can print through edrawings and excel manually but I would like to simplify it.
In a perfect world I would run a task that would print everything.
Just curious if there is a way to do this or if I am stuck having them print each file separately.
Thanks
Dusty
Dusty,
You are not alone with this question. In my previous lives I have had an internal programmer write a utility or purchase a 3rd party printer utility.
Your VAR might be the best place to start. I know some people have used 'AlignexT' but not sure if they have the ability to print DWG.
