how do I make Revolve Boss to meet an 8 sided, angled surface.
Attached is an assembly the part I need is sketched in on the Front Plain.
The inside part is round, outside part has 8 sides, the Blue sketched part needs to fill between them so it's touching the round surface and all 8 sides.
I should have started with insert part so I could save it as a separate piece of open cell foam that will be glued in.

I'm at home now and don't have SW here, so I can't open your model, but from your description I don't believe you're going to be able to do that with a Revolved Boss. But you should be able to extrude 1/8 of it and Circular Pattern that body for the rest. And if I'm way off base because of not being able to open your model I'll apologize in advance.

and extrude cut
probably could do it a couple of other ways
just a quickie not fully defined

I'm trying to follow how the heck ya did that and not really seeing it. What steps did you take?

I'm not on any system atm-
but>
set upper plane- plane1
I used top plane-parallel - coincident top of your profile sketch>
set lower plane- plane2
used plane1-parallel- coincident bottom of your profile sketch>
insert components>new part
select plane1- sketch tool activates
select all internal surfaces for profile>
+plane1> convert entities- intersection curves
check/repair sketch continuity
confirm sketch
repeat for lower profile plane2
lofted boss from lower and upper sketches
extrude cut the centre if required
I am sure there are other ways to do this( solid boss and split)
