So this is the issue. I have a bunch of different manuals created in SolidWorks. Somehow, somewhere along the line, they were created on a 5.5 x 8.5 sheet size. I don't want to just update the template because in many cases, some of the notes in the drawing format have been edited from the standard template. (Where a standard manual would pull the title from the part description, someone somewhere along the line, edited it to be what they wanted. Yes it's something that needs to be cleaned up, and needs to be fixed at some point down the road, but that is not now. Doing so would be a huge undertaking, and is one that management doesn't see as necessary at the moment. So I'm stuck. Anyways, when these drawings are saved out as a PDF so that our planning and marketing department can print them out to go with our products, they get saved at that odd 5.5 X 8.5 size. And while they know it is an issue, they sometimes forget, and print with out changing the sheet size. It's just an added step, that I have been asked to see what I can do about. So help me, please tell me there is an easy way to change the drawing "area" sheet size in SolidWorks without messing with the already existing notes and properties? That or when saving it as a PDF to have it automatically save it as a different size. Because I haven't come up with an easy solution other than having planning remember to change the sheet size when they print.
