Hi all,

I'm completely new to Solidworks but have used other types of cad. Using Solidworks 2016, I have several part files I'm opening with multiple configurations embedded in them. I'm currently opening up each configuration and saving each as a parasolid. Is there a way to export all the configurations at once. E.g. Parts A thru E.sldprt exported as A.x_t, B.x_t, etc.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You can export them via a macro. Use the attached macro to export the configuration of active file as Parasolid.

Here is how to use the macro:
1. Open a part file you want to export parasolid from
2. Now extract the attached file to desktop or any location.
3. Go to Tools > Macro > Run and browse to the extracted SWP file "Export Part Configurations as Parasolid.swp".
4. Macro would make a sub folder named "Parasolid" in same location as files and would export files in that folder.
5. Parasolid file name would be File Name_Configuration Name.
6. Once configs are exported you would see the message for completion.
7. Repeat for next file.

  Deepak, I didn't find an attached macro. I'm thinking the company firewall possibly stripped it.
