The replace entity command in 2016 doesn't work. I think this was also an issue in 2015. How do you turn this off. This command is a PITA anyway.
I have not used the command much but did not saw any issues with it. If you've issues then please report the specific issue OR don't use the command and you can also take that off from LMB/RMB menus.
You have NO choice to use or not use the command. I dont call the command from any place. As soon as you try to delete an entity in a sketch, the command pops up and it is impossible to delete the entity so that you can continue to edit the sketch. It defaults to select the 'Delete' radio button but that doesn't work. the entity cannot be deleted, so the only choice is to do to the feature manager and delete the entire sketch and start all over.
All I want to know is how to stop this command from poping up but I cannot find anything. And, as per usual the Solidworks help is totally useless for this command - there is nothing that you can find to help you out.
I have only used 2016 for 4 hours so far and I have already found 3 or 4 bugs in it..... what a piece of crap this is.
You must have selected "Replace Sketch Entity" and then selected "Do not ask again" in this window when you had tried to delete something earlier (OR may be in 2015).
So simply go to Tools > Options > System Options > Message/Error Warnings and select this message. And then click on OK.
Next time you would delete a sketch entity you would see the above window and you can set the options as required.
Ya, that fixed it. thanks for the suggestion.
And I think you are correct about the circular pattern, I just figured that it would work for a swept cut etc.
