My template routines use 15/12/23 format for the date variable, but everywhere else we use 12/23/15 format. It seems like a dumb question, but where do I change the date format for automatically filled in date fields in a template routine?
Thanks for the suggestions, guys. As I suspected, EPDM keeps its own date format settings, and that is the one I needed to change. I found the answer here:
I believe SolidWorks draws it from your windows regional settings....
My regional settings show 12/23/2015, so that can't be it.
Beside, if it were, EPDM would use different settings for different PCs even within the same network, which would be very poor from a management standpoint.
Yes, it's the Windows settings on each PC.
Go to: Control Panel, Date and Time, Change date and time, Change calendar settings, then change time format.
Honestly, I can't imagine they would ever set up the system so that the date format could be completely different for each individual PC. Settings such as date format are subject to company-wide policies, and it would be impossible to enforce such a policy if each user could override it at any time by simply changing their own PC settings..
As I mentioned above, though, the setting for my machine does not match the setting EPDM is using, so the question is moot; Clearly it does not use the Windows setting as suggested.
