I am trying to buy a new notebook and I found this Dell PrecisionM4300 or HP 8510w about the right price for me. M4300 usesthe FX360M and the 8510w uses the ATI Mobility V5600. I knowthe FX570M is approved but my area the 8510w only comes withthe V5600 card. I saw other ATI cards are approved bySolidworks (V5200) but just not this one (V5600). Anyone hasany experience with this card? Or any comments on whichnotebook should I get? I am a little worry about the M4300performance.

That's odd. All of the preconfigured 8510w models on HP's US website have the Quadro FX 570M. That has been certified.

If you can't get that, I wouldn't anticipate any issues with the FireGL V5600, even if it is not certified yet. Still, Quadro card seem to work better with SolidWorks.

Another option you might consider is the Lenova ThinkPad T61p. It has the FX570M and is very competitively priced.
