Can I make Solidworks not ask to check out files by default on opening?

Every single time a part or assembly is opened it loads every single file that is attached to it and asks if I want to check them all out. Once the list is loaded, the button for "check out" is the one selected so hitting enter would check out every single item. The way we use Solidworks, this is not desirable behavior. It slows down progress and almost begs the user to accidentally check out a file they did not intend to. Currently using the 2014 version of Solidworks and EPDM

          Hi Jonathan,

          Hopefully this helps:

          1) Open EPDM Administration Tool

          2) Select the User/Group

          3) Settings (Bottom Left)

          4) Reference Dialog

          5) Untick "Try to check out all referenced files when the referencing file is checked out"

I have selected "auto select reference files to get latest when checking out" and "always work with the latest version of files."  I've found while its slower to open, I've had less problems with people believing they were working on the latest version when a component of the assembly was not the latest.

          Hope this helps!
