Hole wizard is making holes away from the surface selected And I'm unable to change direction. How to remedy?
See the arrow below that Mark referred to. That will reverse the direction of the feature.
It's difficult to understand your situation.
Can you post either the problem part or few pictures showing the feature?
I am having this problem with all parts.
Have you tried clicking the arrow icon on the 'End Condition' section to change the direction of the holes.
Failing that can you post the part that's displaying this error
As stated above, to better understand your issue, could you post your SW files or at least a screen shot?
Was a non-planar surface selected when the Hole Wizard was first run? (Does it have a 2D or 3D sketch listed under it?)
Each hole wizard in the tree has 2 sketches: one for hole definition and the other for positions.
Can you select the positions sketch and do an Edit Sketch Plane to put the wizard onto the required plane?
Is the hole wizard selected surface based a on a plane with an opposite normal vector? Edit the plane to toggle its normal.
Are the end conditions for the holes going in the desired direction? Are these settings sending your holes elsewhere?
Edit the positions sketch, delete a point and then add a new sketch point back in to replace it.
I once had one hole out of 4 that wouldn't behave. I deleted its point and replaced it and all was well after that.
Don't know what happened, SW didn't complain, the one position just didn't what to play well with others.
Just a few ideas to try, I hope one of them cures your issue.
