can this be done?
I tried doing that today.
SW allows all of the usual clicks without complaint, but nothing is created, neither on the drawing nor in the view tree.
Kevin, thanks for the reply. I figured it out, if you create a section view first then right click on that section view and select Isometric section view in drop down, it turns your section view into an ISO section view.
thanks again for your input.
That's true for regular section views, but that doesn't match your original post.
There, you state "broken out section".
This what I first replied to.
In the drawing view property manager, you can select iso for the parent view holding the broken out section, but the broken out section goes funky.
Also, what I attempted earlier was to create a broken out view on an existing iso view (which was cropped).
That I didn't think of earlier and I just tried a broken out on an existing iso view and the break out work, so my first response is incorrect.
Yes, you can (the crop prevented the broken section).
In my attached assembly zip, I excluded the rod in the two broken section views..
I got it to work.
create the spline then crank up the depth. It will show up eventually. Do not select a face.
Just maybe they did not have Preview selected. That's what I did the 1st time I tried it.
