them put you through to the engineering manager. Explain to them
you need a digital mockup of their product, and that you don't need
any confidential information. When they say no, explain how having
something to show your customer would benefit them. Then keep
reasoning with the company until you get something.
The very least you can get is a high resolution picture of what you
need.
Not everyone uses 3D cad, so they might not even have a model, but
do see what you can get.
