How do I get the Auto-recovery/Document Recovery task pane available? SW crashed and my assembly was saved as a SWAR but now I can't access it because the recovery pane isn't there.
Simply rename the file and remove .swar from the name. Then you should be able to open it
Thanks Deepak, I did figure out that workaround eventually.
Do you know any way of initiating the Document Recovery taskpane for next time though? I like the ability to have the SW user interface to do this automatically as opposed to renaming and removing .swar for multiple files when SW decided to crash. It used to open the taskpane instantly when I restarted SW. I don't know why it won't anymore.
Check Solution Id: S-038416 in SOLIDWORKS Knowledge base if that helps.
Thanks. I checked it out, but my auto-recovery files are saving fine, even if occasionally they are .swar instead of .slddwr (or vice versa). They are there in the temp folder. SW doesn't launch the Document Recovery taskpane automatically upon restart so I have to go to the temp folder myself. Not hard to do just nicer when SW does it for me.
I guess I was really just wondering if there was a way to launch the Document Recovery task pane manually.
