View orientation preview window overlaps view selection cube. Is there anyway to move it out of the way?
Might be a bug, please report it to your VAR.
What version of SW are you using and what are your dpi settings ? If you have dpi settings of 125% or higher try to set it to 100% and check if it makes any difference.
Thanks Ingvar, Changing the Windows DPI to 100% did the trick.
I have the same issue and my Windows DPI was already set at 100%. Is there anything else that might solve this? Im using SW2016 SP1
Like this picture above shows, it fully covers the surface I want to select.
It should be showing in the upper right corner instead of in the center. One potential place to look is whether you have an option on the video card driver manager turned on to center dialogs. Can anyone having this problem confirm whether or not that is the case to help troubleshoot?
In My opinion, when the enhancement was added, there should have been an option accompanying it for enabling and disabling. Changing the DPI is NOT a solution, and some may have other reasons for using higher DPI settings.
Has anyone ever found a solution to this issue? I'm running 2016 and have the exact same behavior, making the view selector a completely unusable gadget. The only views I can reliably grab are the ones that I could just shortcut to, or grab off the view window to begin with.
I didn't have this problem with 2015 on my old computer... I can't tell if it's a software thing or a graphics driver thing, but I have checked and do not have a "center dialogs" option engaged anywhere that I can find.
I'll ask as well......any solution?
See this thread. The only problem we are aware of this with this was fixed in SOLIDWORKS 2016 SP04 and that was only at DPI of over 100%.
I love the helpful popup displays! NOT!
Are you still seeing the problem in SOLIDWORKS 2016 SP04?
Just glancing through the forum and saw this response.
I was running sp2 and only recently updated to sp5.
I just wanted to say thank you.
