Dimensions exported to AutoCad occasionally get extra decimals.

Question asked by Kevin Cobussen on Nov 30, 2015

Whenever I export a drawing to DWG some of the dimensions become "different".

Example: In SW a mate added 40,0 becomes 40,00025 in ACAD.

Marginal difference that is easily fixed by altering the precision within ACAD but I have seen differences up to 0,12mm.

That is a tad to big to just fix by changing the precision. Especially with critical parts.

I am using a basic DXF/DWG mapping to define colour and line style.

AutoCad LT 2012 and AutoCad Mechanical both show the same error.
