We have the setting "Do not mark referenced files when changing state" checked for all users. But every time I add a new user to the Vault, that option is unchecked for the new user even when copying permissions from a user who has that box checked. Unless I remember to check that box every time I make a new user, we don't find out until the damage is done and the new user has changed the state of 50+ reference files by mistake.
Does anyone know how to make this option checked by default?
Thank you in advance!

Hi Tara,
Just checked it in my vault to make sure, and it seems I don't get the same result.
When not copying setting from another user, the "Do not mark referenced files when changing state" is not checked by default, but when I do copy setting, it is marked as expected. Is it EPDM 2015?
In any case, might be easier to set it up for the whole group (forgive me if you already know this). When you go to same setting menu in a group, you'll be able to see whether some, all or none of the users have this checkbox marked:
checked means all users, not checked means non of them, and shaded means some do and some don't. Checking the box here changes this settings for all the users in the group so you don't have to go through all of them.
