SolidNetwork license manager is showing some standard, premium and professional licenses. How a user can switch between them? like if user is using professional or standard version and he want to switch to premium, how he can do it.
Hi Nadeem, the difference between Standard, Professional and Premium licenses is basically SolidWorks add-ins that are enabled or disabled.
For example, if a company has 2 standard 2 professional and 2 premium licenses on a network.
Everyone in the company could INSTALL SolidWorks Premium, but they would only pull a premium license from the network if they enabled a Premium add-in such as Simulation or Routing.
Similarly, they would pull a Professional license if they enabled a Professional Add-in such as Toolbox or Photoview360.
So if user is using standard or professional version now and he want to switch to premium, then do I need to install premium version separately along side the other versions or just use add-in to take advantage of premium version.
Hi Nadeem, the best way is to install Premium on each user's machine. That way they will take a premium license if they activate one of the premium addins, otherwise they will just take a Standard license.

I hope this helps.
