Our company recently upgraded one of our PCs to windows 10 to trial the various programs we use and see if they still run.
We run both premium and professional license's and at various times we swap depending on who needs the simulation package for their project.
This is where we hit a snag, the PC was originally running professional, but needed to upgrade to premium for some simulations.
The normal way we transfer licenses is, inside of Solidworks "transfer license", then run control panel>programs and features>Solidworks XX>change. this opens up solidworks installation manager, change license key, rerun solidworks and activate license.
he problem we ran into is that there is no change button, >Solidworks>change, just uninstall.
Now while this is basically a windows problem first, and solidworks problem second, is there another way of opening solidworks installation manager to change the license key, or a different way of changing the key that doesn't go through the installation manager?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
If there is another thread which already answers it, please point me in the right direction.
