We need to put a 3/4-32 Thds per inch Class 3B RH (internal) thread in a model for tooling purposes. It needs to be accurate
and function through the molded cad data. What is the best way to go about this with SW 2015 Sp4.

Just want to add that SW2016 has added the functionality to add actual threads into the model.
we won't be installing 2016 for a few months yet, do you know if the out of the box profiles include the tolerances and allowances from the thread specs?
I've not yet checked them into more details yet but can find/look for you.

Jeremy, I want to add that one can create different profile (custom profiles other than standard available in the list) based on requirements too and save them in the library for further use. So you may be able to update/create the profile based on required tolerances and allowances.
yeah I heard about the adding of profiles - unfortunately the way threads are toleranced, the nominal dims from the spec are almost never within the tolerance of a given thread callout. so people that need "accurate" threads will apparently almost always need to add their own.

The profiles we supplied with 2016 are meant to be reference only. They are at basic dimensions (line on line) with no tolerances but you can easily create your own profiles for repeated use. The Thread command uses Library Feature Parts much like our Structural Members. You can add configurations to your profile for the various thread sizes and tolerances. You can then pick the file and configuration when making the Thread feature.

use the hole wizard to get the tap drill.
look up the thread profile and dimensions in the machinery handbook.
use a swept cut to cut the threads into the model.
