I'm using 2016 SP0.1 and i cant find the hide behind plane option in my assembly. I've tried looking in a normal part file and I tried just using the section view selection but it "produces invalid geometry". It doesn't come up in search results either. What am i missing?
yes i looked at that, is it only available in drawings? I got the Section View to work though. Now I'm trying to do cuts and it won't let me select any edges, just surfaces while I'm in the section view.

that's the section i just cant select any edges or points. I turn the filter on to try to get it to look past the faces but no luck.
Planar Define a section view by selecting one, two, or three planes or planar faces.

yeah, I might have to talk to my VAR about this one.
The Hide Behind Plane function only works in the 2D drawing environment, not the 3D model.
In a 3D model simply hide the parts you don't want shown and create a Display State.
That's definitely a workaround that I didn't think of.
