Hello All,
I'm having some trouble with a swept boss not following it's path. See attached part. As you can see, especially at the bottom of the coil, the profile does not follow the path. It is off by about .075" at the bottom of the coil. I've tried messing with the twist/orientation and path alignment with no success.
Can anyone help me out? Thank you in advance.

...unfortunately... if you do not have a guide curve (gc) for this.. it will drift downward as it makes the travel to the end (just try a horizontal line and see).. ... that is, if it is pierced in the center.. it should do fine.
Erik,,, I ended up modifying your 3d sketch (path) in order to make the center of the profile pierced on the path. Also turned the 3d sketch into a fit spline just to get rid of the tangent lines. Also,,, had to make the dia of the profile .498 since I was getting a self intersecting error. I have attached a 2014 assembly file with your original and original modified on top of each other so you can see the difference. You may have to change the vertical spacing slightly in order to use a .500 profile. Perhaps this will give you some ideas.

Thank you for your help! I adjusted my path and profile so that the profile pierces the path in the center, per Paul's advice. Worked like a charm!
..glad it worked.. one other workaround could be changing it to "Twist along path"... that is, knowing the end result, from a test horizontal sweep, "18.1377".. you can counter that and get it level again...
