I am trying to import a few IGES files and convert them to sheet metal. Which it does that OK. But when I use my pre-set gauge table, it does not change the radius of the bend on the part. It also does not convert all the bends, and therefor, will not flatten.
What would the problem be?
Keith,
I have never found a use for gauge tables, I just enter the proper bend deductions to get a flat pattern. I don't believe that gauge tables have the capability of actually changing the bend radius of an imported part. I may be wrong though....After looking at the AA_bucketX127 part, I believe the issue to be the bend reliefs. Solidworks typically doesn't handle those well, in particular roundbends 2 & 8. When importing models like that, I will remove those areas before attempting to add bends. Also, I noticed that you converted the parts into sheetmetal parts. This sometimes can also pose a problem with geometry that isn't pristine. You really just need to use the edge flange tool to prepare them to be unfolded....
