you can apply a bonded contact between the beam and the sheet (you cannot apply a no penetration contact between the face of a beam and a solid/shell so depending on how you want the contact to interact then the answer is either yes or no!
you could also consider using a shell mesh for the sheet material if you wish.
remember that because of the different ways that the calculations are carried out on beams and solids/shells you wont be able to see stress results for both at once.
