Hi everybody,
I am new here and have only been for a little while but I did notice that there are people here giving really great answers and suggestions so I figured why not jump in and ask a question myself :-)
What is the easiest way to do this in Solid ? what should I do first - the pattern or the shape ?
Any help or suggestion would be most appreciated.

The Crv Pattern doesn't let me duplicate surface trim whay?
Just checking, did you look at the lower section for selections? Features v Face v Bodies...
I do not understand what you are trying to do. Is one of those images the "before" and one the "after"? Or are you trying to add a pattern on top of those shapes in the images? If you could include something to show the desired end result, even a hand drawn sketch, that would be useful.

i did the patern in flat surface (from left to right)
but i still don't know how to do it in curve surface (up to down) can you help me?

I would think you would repeat the same process with the upper curve?
Based on your images, I'd start with a curve driven pattern. Set your first instance and select your 'curve' edge, should do the trick unless I'm missing your true end goal. 2015 SOLIDWORKS Help - Curve Driven Pattern PropertyManager
