We are looking at possibly upgrading out PDMW to Enterprise.
Themain reason is due the limits in the amount of data that PDMW
canhandle. We currently have over 14,000 projects in PDMW and it
isstarting to crash. Solidworks and our VAR is aware of
thesitutation. No solution as of yet. One solution is to upgrade
toPDME. Our company has over 85,000 parts and growing. Some of
ourspecifications and doesigns are Solidworks data and some
arenothing more than a written specification. We also have .xls
andother files that are part of the specification or data that
wewould like to manage about the part. Is there any information
thatlists what system is better suited in handleing. We do need
tocolaborate with our China office and Korea office. Also we
havemany other database based systems that we currently can't tie
intowith PDMW. Would this be possible with enterprise. I am looking
forany information that shows/list the differences in the
twosoftwares and advantages.

This is some information about PDMW Enterprise from SolidWorks;
"PDMWorks Enterprise is uniquely positioned for customers that need:
1. To support more than 10 CAD and PDM users.
2. To manage data at different locations
3. To manage data using simple automated workflow"
Perhaps you should consider asking your VAR for a demo.
