2008 SP0 Downloaded, No Vault Found

I downloaded 2008 SP0 Office Professional, a new installation. No Vault was installed and the PDMWorks Service is not listed/running.

I've tried installing it twice with the same results.

The dialog boxes indicate it is installed, but the VaultData folder does not exist.

Any suggestions?

I found it.

Why do I have to "Modify" the Installation to install the Vault? That doesn't make sense to me.

This happened for many users in 2007 as well. I know I spent many hours with my VAR on the issue then we finally found it. Guess SW doesn't learn from past mistakes.

  Thanks so much for posting this. I'm about to switch to 2008and I would never have thought that you would have to modify theinstallation to install PDMworks.

That's weird. I didn't have any problems with mine. I didn't have the download manager auto install it, though. I came in later and updated my vault, but I didn't have any problems getting the PDMWorks Server and Vault installed and up and running.
