Flat cable routing ability

One of our companies products is pre-bent flat cables coated or bare and range in size from 3x20mm to 10x200mm. These are currently being designed 3 ways; AutoCAD 2D, SW (extrude, cut, loft), & SW (Sheet metal).

The problem we ran into was since there is no twist feature in sheetmetal and flex can only be used if the part does not intersect the planes at any other location poor modeling turned into incorrect cut lengths.

So now to my question: Does the routing tool sufficiently handle using a flat cable and making the proper bends and twists to actually route that cable?
