Is it possible to display the assembly BoM item number at the view where a particular parts details are shown?
1. Assuming you hid the View Label by right-clicking and choosing "Hide", then go to View > Hide/Show Annotations. Hidden annotations will re-appear on the sheet in pale gray. Click on them to un-hide, then repeat View > Hide/Show Annotations to exit the function.
2. You can click to the left of a BOM row to highlight the row and drag it up or down to the desired position. The numbers will update, along with any balloons calling them out.
There are at least two ways to hide rows from a BOM. See #20 from the link above.
See #12 here: Frequently Asked Forum Questions .
Thanks for that link and its useful for me...
Could you help me in 2 more points in which I am straggling please....
1. If I hide a view label or any other note for some reason, how can I show it again?
2. Also If I want to change the Item number order of few items in a BoM or if I want to remove few Items from BoM how can I do it?
I found out the solution for reordering the BoM numbering from the link which you asked.
Could you please help me with my 1st point please?
Also could you guide me how to break a single table/BoM if the number of items are too many and to place all the Items in a single sheet.
To break a BOM, highlight a row, then select from the drop-down as shown below.
Thanks a lot Glenn, Its a great help.......
Could you please guide me how can I add a pretext ''0'' in balloon/Item number for the ones in single digit?
eg: 01,02,03 instead of 1,2,3

I'm not aware of any way to do that. Someone else might.
If you need to have the detail views have balloons to match up with the item numbers in the BOM, then you have to link the main BOM to that drawing view. Then any balloon you add will have the part number from the BOM.You would RMB pick on the drawing view & pick the appropriate BOM to link that view to. Then when the BOM should update that balloon will also update. We had a macro created that will automatically link all the drawing views on the active sheet to the BOM & then a second one that would change the balloon to the size & style we wanted along with removing the leader.
thanks for that..........
As Glenn mentioned, I don't know of any way to have the single digit numbers have a "0" for the pretext. I don't ever recall an option ever being available for it.
