anyone have recommendations?
Hi Eric, I know this isn't the answer you're looking for but I would suggest finding the MRP that works best for your company first and figuring out how to get it to work with SolidWorks second. If it doesn't integrate well enough then move on to choice #2. Are you using SolidWorks PDM?
yes we have solidworks pdm.
but we are looking for an MRP that will be used for purchasing to order hardware, raw material, maybe used for quoting jobs and forecasting requirements. So, having an MRP software that can play nice with solidworks would be key so we can integrate it into our process.
Anyone have any input???
MRP is a widely used term that frequently means different things to different people. Further, as business vary widely in model and industry, so selecting a business operation software is often a complex question.
My company (Smooth Logics) offers an ERP solution call COUNTERPART that directly integrates with SOLIDWORKS. Depending on what you are looking at accomplish (you mentioned purchase order, hardware, etc.) it may be a great fit.
