I'm having trouble mating the ID and the OD of a pipe. i've got several configurations of pipe diameter and roller diameters and some work, some don't.
this one works. the ID of the pipe mates with the OD of the inner roller and the OD of the pipe mates with the OD of the roller (selected in blue).
this one doesn't work. the ID of the pipe mates with the OD of the inner roller and the OD of the pipe mates with the OD of the roller - BUT IT MATES ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE CIRCLE. is there a way to keep the centerline of one of the circular features above or below the other mating part centerline?
I get that both situations are technically correct - they both mate correctly - but i would really like to get a consistent mate through different configurations of pipe and roller size combinations.
Any assistance would be gratefully received.
I assume you're using Tangent Mates? They're notoriously troublesome. I wish I could help, but I have problems with them myself.
