Is there anyone who knows how to save Solidworks 2016 files as Solidworks 2015 files?
Saving backward is not possible. You need to convert the SW2016 file to a neutral format (step, iges, etc), then open that in SW2015 as a "dumb solid" containing no feature tree.
Thank you Jeff,
I tried to save it as STEP file, but when I tired to open that STEP on 2015 I got an error message "No solid...".
And I just tried IGES format, it worked.
Solidworks files are not backwards compatible. If you are usingEPDM you could roll back the files to before they were converted to 2016.
Than you Glen.
When saving a file to another format, there is normally an "options" box available. Click the type of file you are saving as and navigate thru the options available. STEP normally works pretty well if the right options are chosen.
