Correct Photoview setttings

Question asked by Jacob Murray on Oct 21, 2015

So i am trying to render an assembly and am encountering three different problems:

1. Model is way too bright, can't even see some of the components properly

2. Model is too grainy

3. Model has a patchy kind of appearance, like someone sponge painted it.

I have included a picture to show what I mean. The motor that you can see is what I mean by grainy, and the arms are meant to look like steel plates, but they look patchy.

I don't want to play around with directional lighting and all that, I just want ambient light so I can see all the parts and not have shadows everywhere.

What kind of setting do I need to chose to fix these three things?
