I recently updated my solidworks network license manager and somehow in the process one of my licenses is missing? can anyone help me find the missing licenses and get it back to my license manager?
What you mean by missing? Have you checked the license file if that is correct? Have you contacted your VAR and reported the issues with them?
I had 5 seats on my license. I had to update my license network manager, transferred my license out, updated the license manager and now I only have 4 seats. No I haven't reported the issue because I don't understand what happen just yet so I don't know if it needed reporting and this just happened yesterday evening, as I wanted to do the server update when it would not affect my solidworks users. Now the issue that I am going to have is that if all 5 of us users go to run at the same time we are going to be short a licenses.
Hope that makes a little more sense. Thanks for being willing to offer a tip on this.
What kinds of updates were made? Did you acquired the updated license file in case you're upgrading the version?
I updated to the 2016 network license manager so that I can push all my users to the 2016 SW version. In order for anyone to start trying 2016 the license manager had to be updated. As a company we are undecided if we are going to move to the new version and the best way to do that is for user to be able to play around with the new version prior to committing to the overall change. The 2015 that we currently use still runs using the new license manager, as does 2016 now. My license is under service contract with SW and the update is part of that. I can currently run either 2015 or 2016 SW (if desired, go back to 2014 when we started our contract). My only issue is that when I look at my total seat count on my license manager, I am short one seat post update.
The more I discuss this with you, the more I am realizing the solution is likely to call my SW rep as I am sure that he will have the answer to this dilemma.

Yes that would be the best as I'm feeling that this is a bug with SW2016 license manager.
Thanks again for the assistance.
