Thanks.However it will nt be because the endrawing i got is from 2016 and the sender sent is 2014/2015?it might not be compatible and the problem of the measures still?i really do not know but i need solution

The version should not be any issue since you're opening in higher version. Ask the sender to resend it with measure enabled.

Whoever created the edrawing file needs to enable measure when creating it. Otherwise, you are out of luck. Contact the sender to recreate the edrawing with measure enabled...
