Help! I have been trying to download solidworks onto my computer. I can start the setup file, but part way through the download, it says that a version of bonjour (whatever that is) has already been downloaded: it then says I can continue downloading, but might run into problems.
I then run into problems, as I am prompted that the "Windows Installer for this product component did not run as expected: LaunchConditions"
What should I do?
We ran into this issue as well during our recent upgrade. Uninstalling Bonjour allowed SWX to install successfully.
As someone has already stated, Bonjour is used for a number of different programs.
The main culprit seems to be itunes. So if you have itunes installed on your machine, the version of bonjour that was installed with that is newer than the one SOLIDWORKS Installs.
Remove it from programs and features, and then install SOLIDWORKS

Bonjour is a bit of software used by several programs that deals with network things that the user then doesn't have to worry about.
You have a later version installed already then that the SW version you're trying to install needs.
To be exact, you are trying to install SW'15 SP2.1 while your system has a more up to date Bonjour installed.
Could very well be that if you install SP3 or SP4 that you wouldn't get that error message.
I also noticed from your log files that you're installing it along side a previous release which although theoretically shouldn't pose a problem in practice it can sometimes do cause problems.
On a side note:
I would advise you to use the "download and share all files" option or the Administrative image option during download.
