Benea,,, I could be mistaken but I think with 2013 and earlier versions, in order to get bend lines to show you have to use the "Bent" option and not the "Formed" option. Using the bent option will force the bend lines to show (I think) since they are bends are similar to other bend types in sheet metal. This is actually more realistic if the cone is going manufactured by bump (or incremental) forming. I believe the formed option is for rolling which, of course, would give you a better looking part and as John mentioned there would be no need for bend lines. The Bent & Formed options are only available when you begin the Lofted Bends. Once applied you can not edit the feature and change from bent to formed or vice versa.
Not sure which version it was anymore but I remember it being there and apparently there was a bug and you still couldn't get it to show the bends.
You just reminded me of what I used to do if we needed to press break a part like this and that is make the loft sketches with equal segmented lines, however you needed to apply a fillet where the lines come together or the loft bends didn't work...
Hy dennis,
In sw2013 that i'm using i do not have the "manufacturing method " tab, So for a solution to my problem a used arcs of the same length to create the loft. Not a pretty wise solution but i couldn't find a better one. John Stoltzfus said something about a bug and regarding that the 1st time i unfolded the sheet metal part the bend lines were shown but after i restarted SW and repeated the same steps i couldn't visualize the bend lines anymore.
I don't think that 2013 Lofted Bends has the option of adding additional bendlines as part of the Lofted Sheet Metal dialog box, what I used to do is add construction lines if this style part was made, if we needed to bend it on a sheet metal press, I didn't add any bendlines if we could Roll it on a sheet metal roller.
