Is there any way of getting solidworks student version to work on a computer with amd Radeon r7 m260 graphic card. I know it is not certified
I am running fine on a NVIDIA gForce game card.
The only thing I don't have is pretty picture RealView Graphics, which isn't an issue for me.
What problem are you experiencing? Have you even given it a try?
You can use other cards, the main thing to keep in mind that, as J. Mather stated, you'll lose RealView Graphics functionality, but also you'll be more prone to other bugs/glitches as non-certified cards do not go through full hardware testing. Also from personal testing, consumer/gamer type gfx cards will do OK with one window at a time; once you have multiple windows is where you'll start to see artifacts and graphical glitches and potentially burn out the card. If you're not using a certified card, I would recommend turning on the feature in, Tools>Options>Performance "Use software OpenGL" after launch of SW and before you open any files.
