Hello all,
I have the Hole Wizard on my SolidWorks student edition working fine but The smart fasteners will not work? I looked in the Add-Ins section and there aren't any there. I wouldn't be the best at computers so all help is very welcome!
This is the error i get.
any ideas?????

Did you installed the toolbox while installing SOLIDWORKS?
The SOLIDWORKS data should look like this, I mean have all of these folders.
This is all I have in the folder?
Is there anyway to install it afterwards?
Yes, just reinstall/rapair SOLIDWORKS and make sure you select toolbox.
Great thanks - now I'm sorry but I have minimal computer skills with regards installing etc. - do I need to complete unistall solidworks and re-install again or can it just be repaired? I f so, could you explain how??

when i go to re-install solidworks and I get to the "Product Selection" Page these are the options:
Nothing about a toolbox???
Please expand SOLIDWORKS to see the Toolbox listed there.
Can you re-download and check?
I'm not sure since I have never installed the student edition, but is sure seems like it should indicate something other than "SOLIDWORKS Standard".
Also Tom, it looks like you may have multiple installs on your computer as indicated by "SOLIDWORKS DATA (4). By using windows explorer do any of the folder (1) (2) or whatever have a structure similar to what Deepak posted? If so I would direct your system options to look there.
True, I have updated from solidwork 2013 to 2015 so there are many solidworks folders in programs. I am currently uninstalling solidworks entirely and re-installing. Thanks for the help! I'll get back to ye once it has re-installed.
As stated in your pictures, you've SOLIDWORKS standard and Toolbox is offered with Professional or Premium version only.
Ok - Sorry for the silly questions in that case. I was told it should be allowed but obviously not. Thank for the help!
Tom, I believe you have been given access to a student download by your college. This is called the Student Design Kit (SDK) and is issued to students enrolled in a college that has over 60 licenses of SolidWorks. The download you were given access to is equivalent to the SolidWorks Standard Package- hence the limitation on Toolbox. If your college has over 100 licenses of SolidWorks on campus then you are in fact entitled to the Student Engineering Kit (SEK) which is actually much more feature rich and will include SolidWorks Premium and also the Simulation and CFD Flow Simulation bolt ons. This would actually be the same as the version you would use when on site at college. Best to check with your lecturer in case you are in fact entitled to a higher level version.
