Hi Everyone,
I am going to be working with two different companies in the next few weeks helping them implement PDMWorks. I am wondering if you are willing to share your experiences of where users get themselves into trouble most.
I've used PDMWorks on and off for years and have trained a number of companies on it but I would like a little wider net of experience out there. If I get some good responses I'll compile the answers and turn it into a document for everyone to use.

When I upgraded us here to Pdmworks, I really did not have to many issues. I know the one thing you don't want to do is one big checkin to the vault. Break it up a bit.

The most common problem I always run into is users obtaining more than one copy of the file onto their system. Upon checkout they do not check it out into the correct folder. Sometimes they check it to their desktop, My Docs, or some other folder they create. Every computer here has similar folder structures for each project so that users always have every file for every project. They do not realize that the file is all ready on their system and that they only need to replace/update it with the most current one from the vault.

Another former problem is when users are checking in a document (it is former now because we only allow administrators to check-in now). They forget to select the proper project and then we end up with files linked to wrong projects. Always turns into a cleaning and organizing nightmare.
